August 2010 – September 2011

After the project preparation phase, which lasted for one year, form August 2010, POLY5 project officially started on the 1st of September 2011.

In the first month of its project life, POLY 5 fulfilled some of its start-up requirements. In particular some general tasks regarding project management have been accomplished.

The kick off meeting took place on the 28th and 29th of September in Turin (IT) at the presence of all 10 project participants, providing  formal beginning to project activities. The event  was organized and hosted by the Lead Partner, Province of Turin.
During the kick-off meeting the partnership discussed next steps to undertake in order to implement project activities. In particular it focused on the communication activities, both inside and outside the partnership, and the implementation of the first macro-action (the so called Work Package “Context Scenarios, Visions”) foreseen by the project.

Activities during the preparation phase lead to the definitive version of the Application Form, which will be, from now on, the project guidance and reference, in terms of activities, budget and timetable.

In its first month of life, POLY5 project mainly produced internal documents to support the partnership in its management. A “Vademecum for technical and financial management” has been issued to support project participants in their day to day management.

The management team has been built through the definition of member of the Project Technical Management Committee under the guidance of the Project Steering group, chaired by the Lead Partner and composed by representatives of all project partners and for which rules of procedures have been formalized.
